The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's bout.
Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial earnings.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really proceeding.
