The Combat-Oriented Party Introduced
Episode 3 ended with a huge suspense moment and revealed the first table of heroes who will branch out from the main group to embark on their independent quest, separate from the additional parties.
The combat-focused team includes the determined fighter (brought to life by Travis Willingham), Thimble (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).
Dividing the Cast
Given an extensive roster, it was clear from the beginning that having everyone at a single group would be impossible.
This explains, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Overture, intertwining the individual narratives before branching into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Planners, and Explorers.
The Nature of the Warrior Group
Per the DM, the warrior group is for participants who prefer a typically action-packed fight-heavy story mode where diplomatic options are few and far between.
At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might seem out of place, but the events of the latest installment show why these particular heroes are best suited for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
To begin with, the party knows exactly where to go next after a intense opening clash with the antagonists.
Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose passing started the narrative’s action—manipulated the enemy for his personal gain, invading Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting Thimble, and swiping all the magical artifacts to auction.
The antagonist then cleared his debts and escaped to a fortified location in the northern region, north of the city, with Cyd pursuing him.
Character Drivers
Secondly, each character has a personal reason to leave the city Dol-Makjar:
- The agile hero, as the close ally and closest confidant, desires retribution.
- The knowledgeable figure knows the region and advises that it is a hostile location.
- Tyranny and The cleric, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to eliminate the fighter and instead rescued him, have no safe haven.
- However, their status as key figures in the influential clan could help the group reach locations they usually can’t.
- Furthermore, Teor pledged a unbreakable promise to Wicander for his salvation and will now follow him wherever.
Wanted and Hunted
In addition, all of them are sought by the rulers that rule the city for a multiple motives, making lingering locally dangerous:
- The agile adventurer and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
- Tyranny and The cleric betrayed the influential house and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
- The fighter is targeted for elimination by the family.
This results in them little choice but to head to Timmony in quest for the traitor.
